Manage Zones

After creating a new zone in the nomos system Controller, it appears in the zone overview. From here, you can perform various actions to manage the zone.

Zone Management:

1. Created Zone:
   • The newly created zone is displayed in the overview, for example, „Testbereich EG“.
   • This zone can now be further configured and populated with rooms.
2. Available Actions:
   • Each zone starts with a tinted band showing its name. On its right are several buttons to manage the zone:
     • Visu: The visualization button allows you to access and edit the graphical representation of the zone. Similar to room visualization, you can upload images and visually place rooms.
       • Each room appears the way the nomos app shows it: as a group of the room button and, if the room has such devices, one button each for light, shading and music. When devices are on, the respective button appears green. Above it, a status line shows what is on, e.g. "All on · 21.5 °C".
       • Drag each group to the desired location; in the app it sits exactly there. The room's name appears when you point at it with the mouse, while you drag the group, or permanently with "Show names". You switch the size between S, M, L and XL as in the app; both only change the preview. Unlike devices in the room visualization, rooms cannot be hidden here.
       • Click "Save" at the top right to secure the positions; you then return to the zone list.
     • Manage Rooms: This button enables you to assign rooms to this zone or remove rooms from it.
     • Delete (X): Clicking the "X" allows you to delete the zone if it is no longer needed. It sits set apart to the left of the other buttons. The confirmation points out that the rooms in it are kept.
3. Edit Zone:
   • Next to the zone's name, you'll find a pencil icon. Clicking this icon allows you to edit the zone's name if necessary.
