Navigation Bar

The navigation bar sits at the top of the nomos system Controller configuration interface. On the left it shows where you are (e.g. Automations → Edit); clicking an earlier part takes you back there. On the right it provides quick access to essential functions.

Elements of the Navigation Bar

• nomos App:
  • Function: The button carries the name of the app. Clicking it opens the app view of the nomos system Controller in a new window.
  • Usage: Allows a quick switch between the configuration interface and the app view.
• User name:
  • Function: Shows the name of the logged-in user, "Administrator" after the initial setup. Clicking it opens the settings of your own user account.
• Search (Magnifying Glass Icon):
  • Function: Clicking it opens the search. You can search for devices, rooms, automations, scenes, notifications, users and other elements.
• Power Icon:
  • Function: Opens a menu with Restart (restarts the Controller) and Log Out.
• Help:
  • Function: Directly opens the help section of the currently open page.

While the Controller is applying changes, these elements are replaced by the note Applying changes. Please do not switch off the Controller.

The ON/OFF switch that turns a skill on or off is not part of the navigation bar. It sits in the header of every skill page (see Skills).
