trivum
With the trivum integration you bring the zones of a trivum multiroom system into nomos (e.g. RP010, SC344m, C4). Each zone appears as a music player in the nomos App and can be controlled in automations and scenes: with trivum favorites, playlists and TuneIn stations, groups, and the pagings you have set up in trivum.
Setup
- Switch the skill on:
- Under Skills → trivum, click On.
- nomos then listens for the messages trivum devices announce themselves with on the network (the way the trivum app finds them, too). During the initial setup, the automatic device discovery switches the skill on as soon as it hears a trivum device.
- Add a zone:
- Click "Add Device". The list shows the zones of the trivum systems found, with zone number, address and firmware; zones already added are greyed out.
- If the trivum system is in another network (another subnet or VLAN), nomos does not hear it. Enter its IP address and click "Ask".
- Choose a zone and give it a name and a room. Without a name, nomos takes the zone's name from trivum.
- The trivum system: With the first zone of a system, nomos also adds the device "trivum <IP address>". It belongs to no zone and carries the actions for the whole system: switch all zones off, and the pagings (see below).
INFO
Notes:
- You set up zones, zone names, favorites and playlists in trivum (trivum app or the trivum system's web setup).
- If the IP address of the trivum system changes, nomos finds it again by itself within the same network.
- trivum has no login; nomos stores no credentials.
Control units
nomos reads each zone through a control unit of its own on the trivum system, starting with number 80. The number is shown with the zone on the skill page; in the trivum setup it appears among the control units.
If a touch panel or visualisation of the customer uses the same number, trivum reports it as used twice. nomos then does not read the zone, rather than push the other visualisation out, and shows a note on the skill page. Click the pen icon at the zone and choose a free number between 1 and 99.
In the nomos App
The zone appears as a music player: what is playing (title, artist, station, cover), playback, volume, mute and whether the zone is switched on. Changes made with the trivum app, keypads or KNX show in nomos at once.
Actions in automations and scenes
The actions are named as for Sonos:
| Action | Note |
|---|---|
| Play, Pause, Stop, Toggle | trivum does not pause or stop a radio station; to end playback reliably, use Turn Off |
| Next Song / Previous Song | |
| Turn Off | switches the zone off |
| Volume Level, Volume up, Volume down, Mute On, Mute Off | the zone's maximum volume is set in trivum |
| Fade Volume To | brings the volume to the target step by step within a few seconds |
| Sleep Timer (min) | switches the zone off when it runs out; 0 switches it off |
| Play Favorite, Play Playlist, Play TuneIn Station | chosen from the trivum system's list; the name is stored, and the entry that has this name at the time is played |
| Play Tuner Preset | number of the FM tuner's station preset |
| Play from Line-In Port | number of the analog input |
| Play Default Stream | the zone's default streamer |
| Add Group Member, Remove Group Member | another zone of the same trivum system; it takes over the music of the zone the action runs on |
| Groupvolume | sets the volume of the whole group |
Available triggers: Is Turned On, Is Turned Off, Is Playing, Is Paused, Is Stopped, Volume Level, Mute, Coordinator (the leading zone, when the zone is in a group) and Announcement (the name of the paging that is playing).
Pagings
trivum cannot play nomos speech announcements and sounds: trivum offers no interface through which another device can have it play any audio file. Use trivum's own pagings instead:
- Set up the paging in the trivum system's web setup under Extras → Paging: zones, volume, and as audio source Stream with a built-in ringtone, an MP3 file of your own, or a text that trivum turns into an audio file with Text2Speech.
- In nomos, start it on the device "trivum <IP address>" with the action "Play Announcement" and its number:
1is the first paging in trivum. You can append the volume and the duration in seconds, e.g.1,30,10; without them, the values set in trivum apply. - "Stop Announcement" with the number ends a paging early; without a number it ends all of them.
- "Turn Off All Zones" switches all zones of the system off.
Music that was playing before goes on after the paging. Exception according to trivum: on a C4 system, music playing on the same stream card as the paging is stopped and has to be selected again afterwards.
