Quick Config

The "Quick Config" tab offers a simplified way to create frequently needed links between devices – without going through a full automation.

Quick Configs are stored internally as special automations, but are hidden in the automation overview by default.

Available sections

Depending on the device type, up to three sections are shown:

Triggers

When a specific event occurs on the device (e.g. a button press), the configured actions are executed.

• Select the triggering event (e.g. "Button 1 short press").
• Add one or more actions (e.g. "Turn on lamp", "Activate scene").

Actions

When the device changes a value, that value is forwarded to other devices or actions.

• Example: the current brightness of a dimmer should be transferred to another lamp.
• Choose the property whose value should be forwarded and the target device.

Synchronization

A bidirectional link between two devices: changes on one side are automatically mirrored to the other.

• Typical use case: two switches should reflect the same state.
• Choose the property to synchronize and the partner device.

Saving

All changes in Quick Config are applied via the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

Note: If no Quick Config templates are available for a device, the message "No Quick Configs available." is shown instead. More complex logic can be created via the Automations in that case.
