Setting up a push notification
Creating a push notification and having an automation send it.
With admin rights, you decide yourself when your smartphone receives a notification, for example: "When the front door opens while nobody is at home, send me a message." First you create the notification, then you have an automation send it.
INFO
This only works with full admin rights and only in your home network. On the go, the app shows Not allowed during remote access., see With admin rights.
Open notifications
Settings → Configuration → More…. The complete configuration opens. In the menu, choose Notifications.
New push notification
Choose Push Notification at the top and tap New Notification. Enter a unique name under Name, such as "Front door open".
Recipients
Receiver lists the smartphones and tablets with the nomos system app. Select the ones you want, or All Devices.
Text
Enter Title and Message; this is the text of the notification. Under Jump to you can choose what the app opens when the notification is tapped, such as a device or a room.
Save and test
Leave Active ticked and tap Save at the top. In the list, Test sends the notification to the recipients right away.
Have an automation send it
Create an automation or open an existing one. Add an action, choose Notification under System and then your notification. Save the automation.
INFO
Notification only appears under System once at least one notification exists.
