Valves and irrigation

Opening and closing valves, for example to water the garden.

Valves control, for example, the irrigation in your garden. In the device list they appear under Valves, or Valve if there is only one.

• State: opens (On) or closes (Off) the valve. Tapping the valve icon also toggles it.
• Depending on the device, you see further values the valve reports, such as the Battery for battery-powered devices.

Gardena

For Gardena valves (platform Husqvarna), the following also applies:

• On opens the valve for 30 minutes; after that it closes by itself. Off closes it until the next slot in the watering schedule of the Gardena app.
• Status shows what Gardena reports, for example whether the valve is closed or currently watering.
• Pause suspends the watering schedule, Resume picks it up again. These buttons only exist for single valves.

An automation can take care of when to water. For single Gardena valves it offers the action Manual operation for x seconds, which opens the valve for the given number of seconds. Your integrator sets up automations; with admin rights, you can too.

With Google Home you can also open and close valves by voice. They do not appear in Matter apps.
